I have been doing family research on the Peerhoy family because I am descended from Lorenz Carl Peerhoy. The reason you do not have information about him is that he and his mother Ida Christina Carstens moved to Neumünster, Germany when Ida's husband Hans Peter Peerhoy, a ship captain, did not return from a voyage for many, many years. After Ida Christina Carstens died in 1854 in Neumünster, Carl emigrated to Peru. (In a letter to the judge asking for his inheritance he states that he wants to search for his father in South America. ) From
about 1860, Lorenz Carl Peerhoy began to use the name Carl Krug. According to military inscription records from Neumünster, Carl never
appeared for his compulsory military duty. Perhaps he used his new name to avoid going into the military and to escape to South America.
He was a cabinet maker by trade. He marries Georgine Caecile Detmer and they have eight children in Peru. After his wife Geogine dies,
Carl marries a cousin of his, Christine Nicoline Carsens (father Gerhard Wilhelm Carstens, mother Magdalena Maria Peerhoy) who has come to Peru as a school teacher. They return to Germany about 1898 and live in Neumünster until Carl's death in 1915. I do not know what happened to Christine Ncoline Carstens. Have you come accross her name anywhere?
